PM KISAN Scheme

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a government scheme launched in India in 2019 with the aim of providing financial support to small and marginal farmers. The scheme provides an income support of 6,000 Indian Rupees per year to farmers who own less than 2 hectares of land.

The main objective of the PM-KISAN scheme is to provide financial support to farmers, enabling them to meet their basic needs and improve their standard of living. The income support is paid directly into the bank accounts of the eligible farmers, helping to ensure that the benefits reach the intended beneficiaries.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers can apply for the income support through a simple and transparent process. Eligible farmers need to register themselves with the government and provide the required information and documentation. Once the registration process is complete, the farmers will receive the income support in three equal installments of 2,000 Indian Rupees each.

In addition to providing financial support, the PM-KISAN scheme also aims to increase the farmers’ access to credit, improve their productivity and livelihoods, and promote entrepreneurship among farmers. The scheme is seen as a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by farmers in India and improving their economic conditions.
