- SAMARTH Scheme: The SAMARTH Scheme, also known as the Scheme for Capacity Building in Textile Sector, is an initiative launched by the Indian government’s Ministry of Textiles. The scheme aims to provide skill development training to workers in the textile sector to enhance their productivity and employability.
- Just Energy Transition Partnership: It is the initiative of G7 countries to push the developing countries to phase out the use of coal and switch to renewable sources of energy for power production. The short form of the initiative is JEPT.
- Appointment of Commissioners of Election Commission: The SC directed the government that the appointment to the post of the commissioner of Election Commission of India shall be made based on the recommendation of a committee consisting of the Prime Minister of India, LOP in the Lok Sabha and the CJI.
- SATAT Scheme: SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) is a scheme launched by the Indian government in 2018 to promote the production and use of compressed biogas (CBG) as a sustainable alternative fuel for transportation. Under the SATAT scheme, the government aims to set up 5,000 CBG plants across the country by 2023 with a total production capacity of 15 million tonnes per annum. The scheme encourages private entrepreneurs and companies to invest in CBG production and distribution by offering various incentives and subsidies.The use of CBG as a transportation fuel can significantly reduce India’s dependence on imported crude oil and promote sustainable development. It is also expected to create job opportunities in rural areas and improve waste management practices by utilizing agricultural, municipal, and industrial waste as feedstock for CBG production.
- Biogas: Biogas is a renewable energy source that is produced by the breakdown of organic matter such as food waste, agricultural waste, animal manure, and sewage in the absence of oxygen through a process called anaerobic digestion. The resulting gas is primarily composed of methane and carbon dioxide with trace amounts of other gases.
- Keoladeo National Park: As per the Wetland Ex-Situ Conservation Establishment (WESCE), a Wetland Zoo will be formed in the national Park. It is located in Rajasthan.

- NISAR Satellite: NISAR is an earth-observing satellite planned to be launched in 2024. It stands for NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar. SAR creates two-dimensional and three-dimensional reconstructions of landscapes. NISAR is jointly developed by NASA and ISRO.
- Food Price Index: The index is released by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO). The Food Price Index tells the “monthly” price changes in world food prices.
- VIHANGAM: Aviation Ministry permitted the CMPDI (Central Mine Planning and Design Institute) to use drone technology in the coal fields of India. The drone system and its portal have been named VIHANGAM. The drone will spray water in the coalfield area to suppress the coal dust.
