Abyssinian Plateau

The Abyssinian Plateau is also known as the Ethiopian Highlands. It is a rugged region in eastern Africa that encompasses much of Ethiopia and Eritrea. The plateau covers an area of about 400,000 square kilometers and has an average elevation of 2,000 to 3,000 meters above sea level, with some peaks reaching over 4,600 meters.
