These regions are the alluvial plane.  It receives the highest rainfall in the state, with an average of 1400-1600 mm per year. The temperature ranges from 10°C to 40°C. The major crops grown in this zone are rice, wheat, maize, sugarcane, and jute.

This zone covers the districts of Araria, Bhagalpur, Katihar, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Purnea, and Saharsa. It receives slightly less rainfall than Zone I, with an average of 1200-1400 mm per year. The temperature ranges from 9°C to 42°C. The major crops grown in this zone are rice, wheat, maize, pulses, and oilseeds.

It receives the least rainfall in the state, with an average of 1000-1200 mm per year. The temperature ranges from 11°C to 43°C. The major crops grown in this zone are rice, wheat, maize, pulses, and oilseeds.
