Payyoli Express

The “Payyoli Express” is a nickname given to P.T. Usha, who is a former Indian track and field athlete. She was born in the village of Payyoli in the state of Kerala, India, and gained international fame in the 1980s and 1990s for her achievements in athletics.

P.T. Usha is considered one of the greatest athletes in Indian history and has won numerous medals in international competitions, including the Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games. She also competed in four Olympics, from 1980 to 1996, and narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in the 400-meter hurdles at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
