The President of India formed Rohini Commission in order to examine the subcategorization of Other backward class. Recently the commission got the extension.

Need of Subcategorization
10 OBC communities took 25% of the reserved quota on jobs and educational seats, while 97% of the total seats reserved for OBCs had gone to these 10 communities alone.
Why The Delay?
The delay in subcategorization is due to limited data on the OBC population in India. The committee has requested to collect complete data, and the Union Government has extended its deadline.
